The premise of Just Jot It January is simple – jot something down, anywhere you like, every day in January. It was a concept I came up with last year in a fit of desperation, really, to keep up my writing momentum of November’s NaNoWriMo and the now-defunct “Every Damn Day December.”
I’m thinking about perhaps posting actual prompts this year to help everyone along with ideas on what to post, should their jotting for the day be on their blog. At the moment I’m considering three prompts, each lasting 10 days with the final day as a day for us all to just jot out our collective back-patting.
So, with January just three days away, I’m wondering who’s up for joining me this year. Hands up, bloggers! It’ll be fun!
There’s even a neat badge! Rules will be posted January 1st, 2015.
P.S. I’ll still be hosting One-Liner Wednesday and Stream of Consciousness Saturday.

I’m not going to fully commit to this, but I will keep it in mind! WBW has been lacking in activity lately, and I’d really like to start posting there a lot more often! 😀

Don’t forget, JusJoJan doesn’t have to be performed on your blog – jotting something down anywhere counts. And if whatever you jot down makes it to your blog, all the better! Feel free to jump in any time. 🙂 Thanks, Dean!

OOH….*squeals*!
I’d love to play. Jot means quick, and since January is slated to be an editing month for me, and I’ve found that other people’s prompts stir up my mind in expected and exciting ways, I’ll play, too!
I’m officially making you part of my January goals.
Happy New Year, Linda – and I love the badge! =D

Have fun! Given that I haven’t even managed One-Liner Wednesday and SoCS consistently lately, I can’t imagine I can join in every day for January Jotting, but I’ll try to pop in when I can. Still too much health stuff going on here to feel that I can predict more than a few minutes ahead…

While I really doubt posting daily given the mad work tours lined up, I am all for jotting daily. I kind of need it given my laziness these past few days 🙂 count me in!
just so you know, half my motivation is the badge 😀

I do post every day even if sometimes they are just photographs. Does that count ? I am not 100% sure, but I will definitely try.

The great thing with JusJoJan is, you don’t have to write a post – just jot something down anywhere. Even a shopping list will do. I look forward to your posts, even if they’re occasional!

Count me in! I love the idea of the prompts. I’m experimenting with some different things, and will most likely be using each of the prompts for a stream of consciousness. It may end up as some kitchen sink writing, but my goal for January is to write, and come hell ot high water I will! ☺️

I might would like to do it. I dunno that I wanna use prompts, but I think I could write every day. But maybe a prompt would be good when the well is dry and unmotivated 😉
