Okay, bear with me for it seems that perhaps no one saw my angry rose quite the way I did.
I drew you a diagram.
Here’s the original:
and here it is again with my mad paint skillz added:
Now look at the original and tell me you can’t see the crazy-assed disembodied-headed dead rose that’s still sitting on my kitchen counter waiting to eat me for dinner.
Seriously, you can’t expect me to deal with this insanity alone…

When I was teaching aaand had a small family we lived in a place in the south of the state, just below the Australian snowfields where for 8/9 months of the year it was cold, well by my standards it was and it even SNOWED once or twice a year. But in winter it was cold

That one a/c makes it hard when you have a real hot day.
Before Christmas I had a new ventilation system put in. It works on the principle that at night if the outside air temp is less than your roof cavity temp it sucks out the hot air from your roof and brings in the cooler air and funnels it into the house. It means at night when it works you get good sleeping temps. On real hot nights it doesn’t work so well as the night air stays hot. In winter it will funnel the warmer roof cavity air into the house. So far I think it’s made a difference.
