My internet connectivity has been so spotty today it may as well have measles. So I’m on the little transformer – a glorified tablet with a keyboard attached – that I took to Japan with me. It fits in my purse but unlike my laptop seems to have a good, well, decent, wireless capability.
You see, I’m not at home. I’m out visiting a college campus as it’s the cheapest place I could find to stay. It’s my weekend off and since my ex has no where else to go, he’s looking after the kids at my house. It’s my only chance to get some work done. And working I have been! I’m so very happy to be almost at the end of my current edit. Then it will be back to the beginning of the novel once more and that should be it.
I do very much hope to start blogging again too, and to begin reading all the great blogs out there that I have sorely missed. I also hope to actually write something interesting soon… I think this post has failed miserably.
That’s enough information overload about me. What’s new with you?
Check out Stream of Consciousness Saturday and join in with a post of your own! https://lindaghill.com/2015/06/05/the-friday-reminder-and-prompt-for-socs-june-615/

I love the idea of visiting a campus as an inexpensive option for a place to stay. I hope it was beautiful, and fostered great creativity.
I haven’t been as efficient at combining writing and blogging challenges with regularly visiting folks these last couple of months either, but I’m trying to wiggle some in here and there, when I need percolating space.
Happy to have found you today – I’ve missed you! =)

I’ve missed you too, Shan! Coordinating online life with real life can be a challenge for sure!
I’ve stayed in a few college/university residences – it’s a great option indeed, especially since they usually come with kitchen facilities. Cuts down on having to dine in restaurants. 🙂

It just sounds like a lovely and quiet way to spend time, especially if the young people have mostly gone home…
I hope it was both cost-effective and productive.

Good luck with the editing Linda 🙂
I am taking it a little slow after my vacation. I am yet to pen down my travel details. Feeling a bit lazy after a relaxed vacation 😛

Congrats on the progress with your edits! Between getting ready to travel, traveling, and jet lag, I missed SoCS and One-Liner Wednesday. Hope, by the time you are back to reading, I’ll have some nice posts for you to visit.

Thanks for the address. The concert is at the Bell Centre… maybe there’s a place close to there you’re familiar with where we can meet…? Anyway, I’ll be in touch when I have details on what time I’ll be in town etc.

I love walking – in fact I’d rather walk for 30 minutes to where I park the car than have to sit in traffic waiting to get out of a venue parking lot.
Will email. 🙂

If you see yourself returning to blogging anytime soon, must mean things have started to settle down for you. Or at least, I hope that’s what it means.
🙂
Doesn’t it feel good to get to the end of an edit? It’s strangely satisfying and stressful at the same time, at least for me.

Stressful, yes. There’s always the question of whether or not it’s good enough yet – and it never is. 😛
I think things have settled down a little but I miss blogging so much! I probably won’t be back to doing it every day, but certainly more than twice a week.
