How does one eight week old, two pound dog make it feel like I have five toddlers in the house?

Anyone who would like to try it out, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a ping back, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.
As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a ping back from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
1. Make it one sentence.
2. Make it either funny or inspirational.
3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.
4. Have fun!

My daughter is still in puppy mode with hers, and she would definitely agree with you. 🙂

He’s very time consuming – but his cuteness makes up for it. 😀

A new puppy ?!! How exciting! He’s adorable, and I love the name Winston. Having [barely] survived Puppy Cody’s first 2 years, I totally sympathize with you. It is like having a new baby in the house, but just like babies, pups do eventually grow up and become “big” dogs. Have fun.

Thanks, CM. A week later it’s still like having a baby in the house. 😛

Cody acted like a puppy until she hit 8 months old, at which point she just decided that she was a big dog now. There have only been a few puppy incidents since then.

As long as Winston stays playful, I’ll be happy. 🙂

Winston will probably still be playful when he’s 13 years old. Dogs don’t really understand maturity or aging. But at least he hopefully won’t be chewing things he shouldn’t chew or pooping where he shouldn’t poop.

Awww! Because puppy! How precious! (And brave!) I’ve raised two pups, but Sadie didn’t come to us until she was a year old, and I must say, it was so much easier. Still, with puppies, I felt like I had more input into their habits. Enjoy! 😀

I haven’t had a dog since 1988 – it’s an adventure all right. 🙂
Yep on the habit thing. I’m crate training him and he actually loves it in there. It was a pretty good night for a first night. 😀

Excellent! Sadie was crate trained and she loves her crate, but we found out she’d rather sleep overnight in our room, on the floor. And we’d rather that, too, because HOWWWL shriek whimper whimper WAIL does not make a nice lullaby 😉

I came downstairs to reassure Winston after about five minutes of the wailing and he just went to sleep. He woke me up for a pee at 3:15 but apart from that he slept through the night. Hopefully tonight’s as good.
