Just Jot It January 31st – Clumsy

I admit to feeling clumsy in the way I go about organizing these prompts of mine. The pingbacks mixed in with the comments are haphazard and I can imagine they’re more difficult to find than they should be. So hopefully sometime within the next month I’ll have time to search for a better way of doing things. It would be awesome if I could set up my page like they do at the Daily Post – I like that idea better than having an offsite compilation with someone like Linky Tools or Mr. Linky. I have what is probably an irrational fear of leaving my email address on a site I don’t know. Anyway, I’ll start with the Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt and go from there.

Speaking of clumsy, I’m also thinking about getting a real artist to design a new JusJoJan badge for next year. I’m starting to realize that maybe my mad Paint skillz aren’t up to snuff. And I’m getting tired of looking at the stick-figure blogger with a burning screen. If enough people insist, maybe I’ll give you all a choice when January 2017 rolls around to use the new one or keep the retro one.

Ha! Whoever thought I’d ever make it to “retro”? Not me.

The “Clumsy” prompt is brought to you by Judy at Edwina’s Episodes. Please head on over and have a read, and tell her I said hi!

  6. You are, of course, free to use mine and Audrey’s JJIJ gif as next year’s badge, but I wouldn’t want to crash everyone’s computers.

  17. Thank you for organizing this year’s Just Jot it January. I fell a little behind but my heart was with you all. Good job. Why don’t you open up a competition if you don’t like your stick figure. I happen to think it is cute.

  21. Hi Linda, I have to say I enjoy the mixture of pingbacks and comments. They often entertain so much I am terribly cheered up. And I agree with Corner of Confessions: You blog events are always pretty straight forward and clear to understand. But I also love a change so whatever floats your blog is fine with me ;-). Thanks for a wonderful JusJoJan. I am off to get “Love Is In Da Blog” going. A little different from last year and I am a bit scared it won’t be as exciting as last year. On the other hand, I like my ideas…. Have I made you curious now????? 🙂

  22. I think your blog and blogging challenges are very straight forward and organized and not clumsy strewn together at all.

Plus, wordpress can definitely improve upon their services to make it even more efficient. Like my blog never leaves ping packs. I can just drop the link in a post, doesn’t work. I can hyperlink it, doesn’t work. I can do the longer plugging the link through WP admin page. I even tried the trackback pings. It just does not work for my blog. I used to be able to leave ping backs no problem, but since the change over and “updates” of wordpress , how long has it’s been, two years Imma say… it just a feature that doesnt work for me anymore. So i always be sure to just drop hard links in comments to properly link or notify.

  29. The pingback works for SoCS since we have the prompt ahead of time. One Line Wed is a little awkward because I post earlier than you but it only takes a few seconds to update the link. If you do the linky thing, it would be nice if it’s available early.

Thanks for the work you do Linda. It’s fun participating in these prompts. However you deal with them going forward, please know that we appreciate your effort!
