Warning: exclamation marks and acronyms ahead. I’ve been holding this rant in for a while.
I don’t understand why or how it can be so difficult to get magnetic letters for my fridge. They’re the kind of thing you just take for granted, aren’t they? They’ve been around forever. They’re everywhere. Right?
Except they’re not! Toys ‘r’ Us has none for sale in store nor online, and haven’t since Christmas. I can’t find ones to match mine anywhere on Amazon, and the only ones I have been able to find are at Indigo Books, online, for a whopping price of $24.99. Yes, you read that right. Twenty five bucks for 40 pieces of cheap molded plastic with cheap little magnets glued to them!
It’s highway robbery! And this is what I’m reduced to!!

I think you should start up a “Go Fund Me” right away to rectify this horrible use of acronyms!

Heh. Yeah, it can be a little frustrating. I suppose you could always make your own. Have you tried thrift stores? Or Ebay?

I would cherish the W, T, and F there are the most important letters. Otherwise, how will you ever find out anything.

Oooh, cool! I, however, am not crafty. I’ll have to search for volunteers. 😀 Thanks for the link, Bee!

I recently saw a frig that had been painted with chalkboard paint. Maybe an alternative ? ☺

That may end up being my last resort. Better than those dry-erase markers though that the ink never really comes off. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was going to suggest oriental trading as well. Also, I’ve seen them in pharmacies like Walgreens in the $1-$3 bins.

I’m sure I’ve seen them at such places as Walgreen’s in the past too – it seems they’re scarce now. With the exchange rate and shipping, one package from Oriental Trading comes to $36.06. 😛

Ha! If you want to be really cheap, you can collect magnetsfrom insurance companies, little calendars, bits of advertising. Flip them over and cut out your own letters.
