I’m out

I’m out. Of money, that is. It’s official. I went to the grocery store today to pick up some essentials and I got the dreaded “Insufficient Funds” screen on the debit machine. Though it’s killing me to do so, I’d like to ask a favour.

If you haven’t already, please buy my book. If you have, or if you have a friend who might like it, please direct them to it. Reblog, share on social media, have a parade down the main street of your town or city, whatever it is you normally do to get attention. If I can get to $100 in royalties, Amazon will pay me next month – they hold smaller amounts.

If you know me, you know I never ask for anything. I hate asking for anything. Please, just share this post. And if you have 99¢ and want to read a really funny book, please click on one of the links below.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Linda

  1. Hi Linda, have you thought about becoming a member of ASMSG ( http://www.asmsg.com/about-asmsg/) to get more publicity for your book? I have suggested John Howell and he had been accepted and I am more than happy to suggest you too. Just let me know.

  8. Purchased. I’m reading His Dark Materials and Great Expectations for my book challenge so I may not have the chance to read it right away but when I do I’ll add it to my Sunday reviews and hopefully little $0.99 add up to help. Good luck Linda.

  10. I plan to finish the book I’m on tonight so I can start on yours next. (I’m a slow reader, so I have a back log.)Then I’ll put a plug on FB and twitter that I’m reading yours. Looking forward to it! Sending prayers for prosperity.

  13. I intended to buy a hard copy, but, it doesn’t seem available that way. Since I don’t have, or do Kindle, etc. I shared it to my Facebook page, so my friends will see it….

    • Thank you so much. 🙂 It is possible to get a free app for Kindle that works on anything – phone, tablet, computer… But I do understand the appeal of a real book! Sorry it isn’t an option. :/

      • Linda,

No worries; I appreciate the info. I’ve decided to go ahead & make the transaction, download it, & worry about the app later; I’ll do that in the morning…

If you are looking for a publisher, try Red, at http://redmundpro.com/ She has helped a number of indie authors get their books out there… She’s published about a dozen of her own, as well as being one of the most intelligent, accomplished, compassionate, and talented women I know. (Probably the smartest on the planet, but, another story…)

        Red’s home site is at
http://mommasmoneymatters.com ; you might find it of interest as well; she’s about the most together person I know in the world….

I prefer books, mainly because I just can’t get my eyes used to the light of the screen for as long as I like to read; after about two hours, they get too tired on any kind of screen, whereas with books, I haven’t found a limit…

Best of luck…. See you around Willow’s place…

        • Thank you so much for buying my book, gigoid, and for the recommendation as well! I’ll definitely check her out. 😀
Good news is, my book is short, so you should be okay with reading it on a screen within a couple of sittings. The reason I didn’t publish a physical copy is that it’s so short. Short but satisfying, I must add. 😀
          Thanks again!

  20. Sharing all around Linda! How Ironic I just put up a post on FB 10 minutes before I saw this, about how we struggle to survive in our outrageously expensive province 😦 ❤

This could be me at some point once I’m finished university, so I sympathize. That said, 99 cents is a great bargain for a student who has a huge soft spot for funny romance stories. I encourage my followers to offer their support as well. 99 cents per person can become a significant amount of money if enough people contribute. 🙂
