I need eight arms today. Or four arms and four legs. I’m entertaining a party of ten for dinner tonight; turkey’s in the oven, potatoes are being peeled by my lovely best friend, John, and I’m down with an upset stomach. Thing is, I want to eat. I feel as though only food is going to settle my stomach, so I’m going to enjoy it when it’s ready.
Having said that, is this holiday season ever going to end? Am I the only one who feels like it’s gone on forever? One more week of holidays from school for Alex and then I’m free. I’m free!!
I’m sure you’ll hear all about it when the time comes.
Okay, off to look for the gravy. I know there’s some around here somewhere…
Cheers!

Hope it all went well and things are getting back to ‘normal’. I’ve been lucky the last couple of years. Been invited to spend the holiday meals with friends, so didn’t have to do much of anything but show up. 🙂

Honestly, I feel like the Holidays sort of happened without me this year. I’ve enjoyed the extra time off to be honest. But I can understand how they can get overwhelming. I hope you enjoyed your turkey. Happy New Year, Linda!

Happy New Year and have a great dinner party. Yes I know what you mean about it lasting longer, but it started later too, so not gonna complain too much – cheers 😉

Hmmm, I go back to work on Tuesday with no holiday until US Memorial Day in late May. I don’t usually take any vacation time before that (I prefer to take mine in the fall). So, I’ll gladly take one more day tomorrow. Did you say gravy? I like gravy.

Hope your dinner party turned out wonderful and you were able to eat some and enjoy the company. Eight arms/legs would be helpful at times! 🙂

Thanks, Barbara. 🙂 I ended up feeling much better. The extra arms and legs certainly would have helped though!

I know the feeling when I am running around getting ready to entertain, which I haven’t been doing as much in recent years. I did do a holiday family dinner this year. I am glad I did it but it was a lot. Hope you feel better to enjoy the food!

Thanks Deborah. I did by the time it was all ready. And I ended up getting a lot of help from the kids. 🙂
