#ThursdayDoors – Doors ‘n’ Cats

Walking around my neighbourhood, I’ve seen a curious trend; the combination of doors and cats. I’d like to share with you my findings to date.

(Click the pictures to enlarge.)

Well-camouflaged and snoozin’

Checking me out.

Waiting to get in.

Enjoying the fresh air.

Watching a squirrel and wishing he was outside.

This post is brought to you by the Thursday Doors prompt from the great Canadian photographer, Norm Frampton. Please visit his post here and you, too, can join in the doorish fun!

  1. What a lovely neighborhood u live in… and the cats – meow – great theme – the first photo is my fav here – partly because of the jagged lighter colored bricks outlining the door trim – ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. This might get as popular as cats and cucumbers haha!

  3. You live in a nice neighborhood. And the cats just make it that much better.

  4. I love the look of your neighbourhood Linda, it is so pretty. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Great idea! I love the charming old houses. And the cats make them even more charming.

  6. Linda, I absolutely love your door post! I would vote your submission the most purrfect of the week, paws down.

  7. Obviously those cats are spies and should be caught and interrogated. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿฝ

  8. You and I have similar tastes in urban neighbourhoods – and cats. Love this post. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Of course! Cats have a tendency to find corners around the doors to curl up. Your neighborhood has some real gems ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. Cats and doors do seem to go quote well together. I had one once that would faithfully wait for me to come hime in the same spot by the front door. Or maybe he just wanted to be fed. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Nice shots too!

  11. There are a lot of cats here, too. One seems to have taken up residence on my front porch while I was away last week. Hung out for 5 days until I fed her. Then she ate and ran. But no interesting doors to speak of.

    • We don’t really have that many cats. These were taken over the space of three weeks. ๐Ÿ˜› But after seeing two in a row, I figured I was on to something.
Cats are weird creatures, aren’t they?

  12. Wonderful subject for Thursday Doors ๐Ÿ™‚ What a good collection!

  13. They’re obviously watch cats, Linda. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love that last house. It’s like a little cottage.

  14. Two themes in one – fun stuff Linda.
The one waiting to be let in reminds me of the old Robin Williams line, imitating a cat “Meow! Open the damn door or I’ll f*ck up your screen!”

  15. Live the doors love the cats.๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’—

  16. Two of my favorite things to check out. Great photos, Linda.

  17. It’s a (unintentional) game of ‘spot the cats’! ๐Ÿ™‚
