Day 2 is much like Day 1, Day 1 being yesterday, the day of ice.
Except Day 2 doesn’t involve ice falling from the sky. Now, ice is on the ground. Still keeping Alex from going to school.
Alex, who is at the moment gleefully jumping up and down in unison with the contestants on “The Price is Right.” Screaming as if he was just called up onto the stage.
We took down the Christmas tree yesterday. It didn’t help. Cross superstition off the list of causes for this year’s luck.
In other news, my mother has been diagnosed with hypo delirium. She may recover. Good news, though: her lungs are better. So the pneumonia is gone.
Yet, I am stuck at home. Unable to visit the hospital. Unable to escape the screams, joyful as they are.

It’s snowing a little dusting here. So far, the ice storms have missed us (knock wood). I don’t relish a repeat of a few years ago, when we had one at the end of February and lost power for ten days. Got pretty primitive back here in the woods. We were wrassling bears for the squirrels’ acorn stashes.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I had to look that one up. Good news on the lungs, though. Ice melts. Honest. (Not here, though, not here.)

“The Price is Right” is the best. My co-worker recently attended live and his friend got picked and won! I was totally fan-girl!!
My brothers and I would scream too and pretend we’d been called up to the stage. I vividly remember mom telling us to quit running and sit down or to go outside! Guess outside is not an option in this weather.
Sending good juju your way. You deserve it dear one.

That show always did seem exciting. I hope better weather is in your forecast and I hope your mom recovers. In case you didn’t realize it, you are Wonder Woman.

That explains why I don’t have a cape … The boots are killing me, though. 😉

Lifting prayers of sanity to you. I think we are all going to need a sanity break once spring just barely pokes her head through to being us hope. We are getting more ice as well today with promise of it turning to snow…so excited :0(
