Do you agree?

If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.

NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our brand new badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!

  1. YUP – agree – IF that small group of people can manage to keep their eyes fixed on the vision they had that brought them together in the first place – – 🙂

The corollary to that, of course, is “beware of stupid people in large groups.”

  10. Yes! I agree! It gives me hope and sometimes it gives me a kick in the butt to be part of that group of citizens. Great quote!

  22. I’m afraid that the world has been changed, usually for the worse, by individuals (e.g. heads of state who start wars) and by large groups (e.g. climate change), as well.

  24. It is true, to a point, because somehow that small group of people has to become a large group of people. Nowadays that means having an influencer Tweeter. That is, unless it is a small group of extremely rich people then they can do pretty much as they please, as witnessed by the oligarchy in which we currently live. 35. I used to think that was true, but I’m not so sure anymore.

    • Perhaps what it takes is a positive attitude … 🙂

      • I have a positive attitude. I’m positive that I used to believe that was true. And I’m positive that I’m not so sure it is anymore. Unless that “small group of citizens” are the very wealthy citizens, like the Koch Brothers. Then it may be true, because their money can, and has, changed the world. Only not for the better. And of that, I am positive. 🙁

        • I knew I was wording my reply wrong. 😛 It wouldn’t have mattered, because you’ve still made your point. Still, what I should have said was that perhaps it takes an outlook that the fight against the machine can be won. Hope, at best, idealism at worst. But sometimes hope leads to action.
