One-Liner Wednesday – Hindsight

My eyes are gone again. But I had an idea. We’re getting the tail end of Barry (the storm) right now, and I’ve always been susceptible to migraines brought on by barometer shifts. So I checked back a couple of weeks ago when my eyesight went (thank you, blog), and lo and behold, it rained for that four days!

Going to the doctor tomorrow to rule out diabetes. I’ll tell her my theory. Will report back.

If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.

NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!

  4. My dad used to get weird eye symptoms with migraines, no pain, just couldn’t see out of one eye until it was over. Hope you have hit on the reason, and can take precautions in the future if storms come along. 🙂

  6. Good theory. Weather must be a factor. Maybe you could keep a daily record. I bet someone can figure out a way to minimize the effects and help have more good days.

    • I know I can get rid of floaters and barometer headaches by taking an anti-inflammatory, if I catch it soon enough. If I can narrow this down to the weather, I can be similarly prepared. Thanks, JoAnna. 🙂

  8. Oh my I’m so sorry you have those nasty things. Migraines are just devastating I haven’t had one in a good while *knocking on wood* but when I did, yep they messed with my vision big time.

  20. The extremity of any weather and season can have a profound effect on our vision as our eyes physically experience it. Eyes are delicate and are most likely to be affected by the change in weather immediately.

  29. Hi Linda, glad that you are off to the doctor’s soon I really hope that they can help. Eye trouble is the last thing a writer and editor needs. Migraine headaches are definitely the worst. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this problem is sorted, thoroughly and swiftly. 💜💜💜💜

  37. Hope you feel better soon.

Migraines are not supposed to affect vision to any great degree.

You are doing absolutely the best thing you can in consulting your doctor.

  41. Weather affects my migraines. I usually get one right before a storm when the pressure dips. Wind also brings one on. It’s not unusual.

  42. That sounds horrific. My eyes go funny when I get migraines, but nothing like that. I hope you get some answers soon! 😦 I like this idea of a one-liner Wednesday, but my WordPress app is misbehaving so I might be a bit late to the game and post this evening when I get home from work.
