One-Liner Wednesday, April 29th, 2020 – Ladies

When Alex and I were out for our walk a couple of days ago, we passed a friendly jogger.

“How are you ladies doing?” he asked.

“Fine,” I answered, happy that Alex doesn’t read lips. He’s been bugging me for a hair cut, and that comment would not have helped matters.

If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.

NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!

  4. Oh wow! Poor alex, good thing he’s unable to know the jogger called him a girl. 🙂

  8. Two weeks ago I took the jump and cut off 4 inches. You won’t believe how many comments I received about that. It is not perfect, but it will do for time being.

  12. I gave my father a haircut and he was quite pleased with it. I was very nervous and watched a few YouTube videos before I began. It was quite a success.
I have offered my services to the other guys in my family but no one else is brave enough.

  19. Close call, Linda. Still, that counts as social interaction.

I’ve been trimming a little, but I think I need my wife’s assistance for the next phase. I’m not going to try working in two mirrors.

  21. My son is looking pretty shaggy too. He has a beard, though, so he would not be mistaken for a girl! 🙂

  22. My grandson has an angelic face and they have always kept his hair a little longer than most boys. He has lived with being referred to as being a girl since he was a baby 😳 I can empathize!

  26. I would not yet draw that comment, Linda G., but I will soon have to choose to either running my newly purchased clippers through my own hair or pass it off to my wife. I did a good job on the beard the first time around, and that four-week task is coming up again next week. That’s the date I’ve set for the hair decision!

  33. My kidults are furloughed or on reduced hours at the moment – it’s given them the oportunity to play hairdresser. Cost Center 1 (daughter) is now sporting bright red long hair and Cost Center 2 (son) has gone from mid-brown to platinum blonde!! Meanwhile, Mr D, not to be outdone, has developed a goatee beard! I’m bucking the trend and doing nothing to my hair! I’m so glad your son missed that comment!!
