What Day is it Anyway? #SoCS Edition Saturday, June 20th, 2020

Well, the world is still going to hell in a handbasket. I wanted to write a couple of times in the past couple of days, but Alex has been bored and I’ve been trying to edit (and failing) and I really just want to give up lately. I’m so tired.

Tired of looking after the kids 24/7 for the last year (aside from a weekend in September when I went away … with a horrible cold).

Tired of looking for time I don’t have.

Tired of living in this tiny bubble between my house and the grocery store, and occasional walks around the block.

Tired of not doing a damned thing for myself for more than an hour or two at a time.

Tired of complaining, damn it!

It’s one o’clock.

I need to do this earlier next week.

Now, I need some zzzzzz…

  4. Just seeing this on Wednesday when I came looking for your One-Liner. I sincerely hope that you have been able to take some time for yourself and not that something has gone horribly wrong. Sending love and hope for better days for you and your family.

  5. I spent today fully immersed in doing what I wanted to do, for the first time in quite a few years, with no ‘yup, have to do that’ or emergencies hitting for longer than I care to remember – – I hope you get one of those wonderful moments/days in time here soon!

  6. Oh, hugs! Complain away and do what you can. That’s why we’re all here, to commiserate together.

  7. Keep taking those walks and doing things for yourself even if it is for an hour or two. I’m sending hopes and prayers for your good rest and moments of joy.

  9. I hope you got some good sleep. I feel like we should all just change places with someone else, once a month, so we have new things to see.

  12. We all need to let loose, but with responsibilities like family, it’s not even possible.
