Cheer

I’m a generally cheerful person. I try not to let things get me down. No, the situation in which I live is not ideal, but it’s really as good as it’s ever going to get. I have enough people and things in my life to make me content. I do my best for those I love, and though I could probably use a little more time off, I manage quite well, given what I have.

Yet I’ve found myself complaining a lot of late. If I was to stand back and have a frank word with myself, I’d say, “If you don’t like the way things are, change them.” So that’s what I’m going to do.

Here’s a photo of three poppies.

I think the one on the right is playing peek-a-boo.

What I really need is a vacation away from here. I want to get away – to get out of my miniscule world and experience something different. Not exotically different, necessarily, just off the block, out of town, to see new faces and unfamiliar places.

I want to break free, damnit! Thank goodness the Queen concert is coming up.

Linda I’ve always though that you’re a very strong woman, with a great sense of irony and an amazing way of reacting to the harsh of the life. I’m not sure I’d be able to do that! I admire you! Plus you’re very nice! Plus, plus you’re Canadian! Anyway every human being need a break! You deserve it!

Visit Wisconsin! 😀 Just keep moving. I believe you can always change your situation, it’s just the hard work to get there, which the editing certification would be a step towards. Keep at it 🙂

Open a local flavor magazine and see if any events/shows/festivals catch your interest. You never know. 🙂

I do hope that you find the much needed time off that you desire. You need it, I am sure.

I think you’ve needed a vacation since I’ve been reading you, and I’m sorry to say, that’s surpassed a year now…
I wish a vacation on you all the time!

Wow can I totally relate to this feeling! OMG. Queen concert a good start…..am wondering if you can turn that into a full-day outing or even an overnight? Alot less than you deserve, but would still be great, wouldn’t it?

Sounds like you’re tired and fed up. I can be of no help, but I do know that in time this usually passes. Hang in there and enjoy the queen concert and any other small break you can get. For what it’s worth, I think you are some woman for one woman.

You do so much, I’m glad you will be getting that Queen concert. And Adam Lambert. Don’t forget him, Linda G.

That right poppy is playing peek-a-boo. You are right.

I think you have a good attitude. Just saying.

I love your daily thoughts. You always make me think. Just keep watching the world around you, the way you do. You might have one of those epiphanies that makes you realize you have it all under your very finger…… 🙂

I spent today cheering up an internet friend, fellow J-rock Buck Tick fan. It took a bit of time, but it was well worth it for it also made me feel better about myself! Sometimes that’s all that’s needed. Hope you enjoy the Queen’s concert!

Right by your side. I know those moments when a change is due, even for a day. Go somewhere you have never been to before, even if it is only an hour or so distance from you. Look for something that will make you smile or wonder or feel comfortable with. If you can get away for a few days, even better. A new perspective gives you a breather.
