It’s time to decide whether I’m going to do Just Jot it January next month. Thoughts?
P.S. Thank you so much to everyone who wished me a happy Christmas! Sorry I didn’t get to reply to all of your comments. I’m half-blind today. But no fear! It will probably be better tomorrow.
If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.
NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
1. Make it one sentence.
2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.
3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.
4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!
5. Have fun!

I’ve found most years I’ve participated that Just Jot it January has got me back into the swing of blogging so I’ve always appreciated the time and effort that you put into it. However, you must do what feels right for YOU. Having the prompts makes it easier for all us of but actually if the idea is just to blog something every day, if we’re committed to doing that we shouldn’t need them. Do it if it feels right for you but if it feels like a chore or you just can’t fact it, then don’t. Best wishes for 2024. Hope it’s a better year for you.

It’s like going to a party. First you want to go, but when it comes down to getting ready, you’re “ehhh,” but then when you get there, you’re glad you went. 😀

I participated for the first time this year (January 2023). It was worthwhile and enjoyable. However, you need to do what’s good for you. Don’t overload yourself.

I’m torn. If you do it, I’ll feel pressured to post every day when I should be spending more time on revising my manuscript (yet again). If you don’t, I’m off the hook! 😉
I also don’t want to make so much work for you. Maybe we should do it without prompts, other than the usual One-Liner Wednesday and SoCS? If people are motivated to participate, they can do it by generating their own ideas for posts. (She says as someone who generally ignores the prompts.) Just trying to find a way to make things easier for you.

I’m in the exact same spot, but I think I can work on my manuscript AND do the posts. I’m going for it! Get your prompt in! (You have to follow that one at least. 😉 )

I’ve started drafting the first couple of posts so I’m a bit ahead. LOL about getting a prompt in! Maybe they’re already filled…
