It’s no wonder I have a hard time coming up with one-liners every week. I haven’t missed a One-Liner Wednesday in ten years and two months. Here’s the first one, March 19th, 2014: https://lindaghill.com/2014/03/19/one-liner-wednesday-chocolate-anyone/
How long have you been participating?
If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.
NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
1. Make it one sentence.
2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.
3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.
4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!
5. Have fun!

I have the highest regard for focus who commit to ‘doing this’ every day, every week, etc., and always being fresh, inspiring and steady, rain or shine.
Alas, I gave up long ago, making my bed everday, cooking breakfast, everyday, writing/journaling everyday, so those who choose a path, set it up and stick to it? for years and months, no matter what comes down the pike in their life?
Have my highest regards, simply because, I cannot, from my current and long term, way of being, fathom how anyone, anywhere, ever, manages to do that – over and over and over…thus, I’m happy such folks are around to do such things, cuz if I was informed it was ‘my job/duty’ to do?
I’d say, “um, no can do, not your best option, seriously, save yourself from me! Do you KNOW how many other folks there are in this world who can do that better than me, faster than me, more reliably than I?? – Pick – one of them! Any of them…puhlease!”
Thank goodness there are folks like you around – meaning – I don’t have to worry about trying to learn how to be what I’m not – and won’t ever be… 😀 ❤

Well, golly. I wrote a lengthier comment which after several “refreshes” doesn’t appear and when I try to send it again, WP informs me it is a duplicate. Ahhhh, WP, with its features-not-bugs.
The short version is: OMG! 10+ years? That is incredible. Wow. Congrats. You get all the extra points!

I know it’s been longer, but my blog now only records back to 2019 because I offloaded the original that year to save space on the computer.

The first one-liner I can find is from June 26 2014: https://topofjcsmind.wordpress.com/2014/06/26/one-liner-wednesday/. Closing in on ten years myself. I found your blog through Opinionated Man very early on my blog path. I, however, don’t manage to post every week. Thanks so much for keeping this and SOCS going for us for so long!
