About Me

Who is me? Let’s see… My brain only stops working when it gets overloaded and then I see black, which is because the heel of my hand is pressing against my forehead. It’s a pose very familiar to those close to me and one my eldest son imitates very well, to my chagrin. I rarely see my middle son, though he is always home, glued to Youtube. My youngest is my constant source of amusement and is currently sitting on my lap, flipping through channels and rubbing my head with his fist. So yeah, I guess I’m a mom.

I write. I observe. And then I write some more. People and their behaviour fascinate me endlessly. I read. A lot. I love to learn.

And no matter where I am, I’m here.

Glad I found you through the wonders of A to Z. I like your writings – very dark! Just a quick question – I see you’ve got two blogs. Is the linking thing easy to do? I like the idea of having a place for my dark side but don’t fancy having to find all my myriad followers anew πŸ™‚

If there’s a way to link the two I have no idea what it is. The only place I’ve found to advertise the two of them is on my gravatar. When I started my fiction blog, I posted about it on this one and begged… I mean asked people to follow me on it. I still have far fewer followers there than I have here. It is nice to be able to keep things separate though.
Best of luck with it, Drew. πŸ™‚ And thanks very much!

I saw you have a JusJoJan emblem. Could I post one on my site?”

I think it’s really awesome that you deliver newspapers. I only subscribe to the Sunday paper, in order to receive the coupons. But since going back to college again, I don’t have time to even clip the coupons anymore. I just separate them from the newspapers and put them into 2 big piles. One day I’ll read about what had happened in the news earlier this year.

I had come here to your blog after reading the post you had on Opinionated Man about newspapers possibly going away. I think they won’t totally go away, but may go down to possibly being weekly newspapers again, like way back when.

Several months ago, I was getting ready to leave my house around 5am and saw a young girl about 12 years of age walking towards my apartment unit. I wondered what she was doing, walking around outside so early in the morning. Then I saw what she had in her hands – newspapers! So she was the deliverer! It just warmed my heart to see her. A school girl, who can get up early to deliver newspapers on the weekends.

I too am sad about how newspapers are declining, as I too very much love the smell of newspapers (and books). Love your blog. Very pretty!

Thank you very much, sf. πŸ™‚

I can see the newspapers going back to a weekly – or even a bi-weekly – the way they used to be as well. There are quite a few customers on my route who I only see once a year at Halloween, when my youngest knocks at their door. They don’t recognize me, but it’s nice for me to see who is reading the words I bring to them on a daily basis.

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment, and thanks for stopping by πŸ˜€
