Who is me? Let’s see… My brain only stops working when it gets overloaded and then I see black, which is because the heel of my hand is pressing against my forehead. It’s a pose very familiar to those close to me and one my eldest son imitates very well, to my chagrin. I rarely see my middle son, though he is always home, glued to Youtube. My youngest is my constant source of amusement and is currently sitting on my lap, flipping through channels and rubbing my head with his fist. So yeah, I guess I’m a mom.
I write. I observe. And then I write some more. People and their behaviour fascinate me endlessly. I read. A lot. I love to learn.
And no matter where I am, I’m here.

Hi Linda! I hope you’re enjoying your holiday season! I wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know I posted an interview I did with a fellow blogger a couple of weeks ago, and she mentioned your blog in the interview as one of her favorites. I linked to your blog from the post– hope that’s ok!
If you’re interested in taking a look, it’s on the “Interviews” page of my blog. It will be the one listed as “Interview #4…”, it’s with Terri Webster-Schrandt. I thought you’d probably like to know in case you wanted to reach out and thank her. 🙂 I didn’t want to post a link for fear that your spam catcher would flag me!
Warmest Regards and Happy Holidays!

Hi, Linda! Just found today the comment you left on my blog post “Two Souls: Into the Fire” part 85!!! Thank you so much for visiting and I’m glad you enjoyed reading it. I didn’t know how to reply to you there, so came here to say thank you. It’s true that unless you get in on the first of a fiction story, it’s hard to understand it…I follow a few of them, though. I must tell you that I did the happy dance, when I saw your comment! Then spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to reply, finally just coming to you here. Thanks again!!! 🙂

Hi there! I’m a new blogger and searching through your blog( which I like very much) I saw the poetry category. I write poetry, also. I read the about the Wednesday one-liners. Are you still doing this? I’d like to participate but you’ll have to explain the directions to me. I have no idea what “ping” means. ( told you I’m new). I’ve posted a few poems, but they’ve been poems I don’t want to send out for publishing. If I post a poem on a blog, does that mean I can’t submit for publishing in a Lit magazine or somewhere else? And what about copyright. Can I protect my poems or stories on my blog? Sorry to ask the questions…but need to ask, because I don’t know! Thanks. And thanks for your blog. I’m now a follower. Leigh

Hi, Leigh! Nice to meet you. 🙂
I am still doing the One-Liner Wednesdays, as well as Stream of Consciousness Saturday. You’ll see the prompt for that one tomorrow if you’re around. I count on pingbacks for both. They’re actually easier than they sound – you just copy the URL of the post where you want your link to appear (they show up in the comment section) and paste it into your own blog post and voila! The two posts are linked.
As far as publishing is concerned, most magazines whether online or not will not accept material that’s already been published elsewhere. That includes on a blog. So if you want to submit something you’re probably safer not to put anywhere else.
I have a copyright statement on my blog here; you’ll see it along the right hand side. All I did was googled “copyright statement,” found one I liked and put it in a text widget with my name on it. Whether or not someone who REALLY wants to plagiarize me will be deterred by it, I don’t know. I have yet to come across the situation… thank goodness.
I hope that answers all your questions. Thanks for the follow!
