It’s snowing. And I’m thinking to myself, why the hell is it snowing when it’s almost the middle of March? And then I remember, oh yeah, I live in Canada.
I’m also right smack dab in the middle of March break. Kids are home and the youngest one is looking for something to do, as usual. I know what I want to do, but sitting around while I write, for some reason doesn’t seem all that fun to him. He wants my attention. Constantly. OR he wants my laptop, which is not very conducive to getting any writing done either.
So I pawned him off.
No, I didn’t sell him, though sometimes I’d like to. I gave him to a friend. Somehow I think he may be returned however.

While born and raised in Southern Ontario, I don’t miss those extended winter temps that have been known to creep into late April (I recall one snowy day on the 3rd week of April…on my b-day….ugh). This week, where I am, the temps are only hitting the mid-teens 😉 We were getting high-teens and the odd low 20-something last week 😀

🙂 One of two reasons I am loathed to ever leave this place. Warmer temps, killer internet. Anyplace else will never see such a combination that I am aware of.

Aww come on! You mean you don’t miss 45 degrees with the humidity and Rogers? hehe

45 degrees? What’s this foreign language you are speaking? English woman! 😛
Rogers….not so much. They bought out the last major independant ISP in Hamilton so your choices are pretty severely narrowed down. That and to make a rather unfair comparison, I don’t paying $80/month for the FASTEST speed when I am paying $20/month for the SLOWEST speed here and I’m still 5 times FASTER than Rogers cable….

I’m talking about the summer! haha 😀 I’m actually on Bell satelite. Speed isn’t bad but you wouldn’t believe what I pay… you show-off you! :p *starts packing*

Heh….yeah, a bit of a show off. Hell, the geek in me can’t resist that! Besides, the population density here makes things stupidly cheap to setup and upgrade. And just looking on rogers website, their ‘ultimate fibre’ plan seems like a good speed. 250Mbs/s. Still, if I spent that much here, I could get 1000Mb/s technically.(This is calculated having 10 different connections). Gigabit service is really close to being launched here.
Hope you like teaching english 😛 I don’t, that’s why I’m a ‘namja juboo’, ‘house husband’ 😀
