Three different shots of the icicles outside my bathroom window:
The first is fixed a little – in actuality I could see the icicles sparkling through the blinds, but they didn’t turn out well, even with some editing.
The second looked like something I might see on the morning after the night before:
And the third is like a bad nightmare gone worse:
Which one do you like best?

I like them all. The last set most, I think, the bigger the better, because Linda, I MISSED ICICLES! lol

I have an inordinate fear of hearing the ice crack above my head, ducking (because my hands are always full) to avoid being stabbed in the head by an icicle, and ending up with the thing down my back, inside my coat and my three layers of shirts.

I have to agree with you about the third one. That would be a perfect scene for a horror movie.

Wouldn’t it though? The monster’s in the room and the only way out is through the window. What do you do?!?

They keep melting a bit and then re-freezing. They end up in all kinds of different shapes.

Oh how I long for a cold icicle here in the sweltering summer.
Oh it is so terribly hot here, I think I will go for a swim.
Then we shall have a BBQ in the evening on the back lawn, and then go for another swim perhaps. Decisions! Decisions!
Whoops! I forgot you were freezing! 😀

I’ve often thought that a nice sturdy icicle would be a great murder weapon… Just sayin’. 😉
I usually have my BBQ working all year round – this year it got buried. Next year, I’m visiting you in the winter!!

Second one. Do you generally knock down your icicles? Went to my brother and sister’s and they had to knock them down over the garage. In some neighborhoods, they were reaching the ground. Not a danger if it can’t fall on you!

I wish I could knock down the ice at this point. It’s so thick on top of the eavestroughs that it’s threatening to pull them down. I just hope all this melts slowly… but at the same time, every time it melts it’s coming in the house and dripping down in my window frames. Next year I’m getting heated wires to put up so I don’t end up with this problem. It’s a mess.
