Life in progress

Of all the posts I’ve written that might have seen a lot of traffic, I didn’t suspect Song-Lyric Sunday – If I Had Words – Babe would be the one. But for some strange reason, it is.

It was originally published on May 29th last year. The views dropped off for a while but they started to pick up around mid-September. The last day it didn’t get a view was November 7th, 2016. It has almost 1,000 views already this year.

The movie is 22 years old. Are they remaking it? I dunno. But for some reason, the song is still very popular.

  1. The posts I am most proud of hardly get any views, yet something I write in a rush does really well! 🙂

  2. It’s a sweet movie and a beautiful song. Always makes me happy when I sing it.

  3. I never understand why things get more views than others. On my previous blog, I got more hits for “Chun-Li legs” than anything else. Ugh.

  4. I have given up trying to predict what will and won’t resonate with people. I write and post what I want and will wait and see what happens, lol.

  5. That is very strange, I’ll have to view that post now. I remember the time when you shared one of my blog posts, it was a short story and in response to a prompt. I remember not feeling that it was my best story, nor was it one that I would considered amongst my favourites.

But for some strange reason everyone responded very well to it. It’s strange how the posts you don’t think will get a lot of views, likes or comments… Get the most views, likes and comments.

    Have a good day Linda,

  6. Well, I never! I can’t figure the whole thing out. Posts I think will do well, don’t. Posts I think are not so good, hot the mark! I figure I’ll just keep on keeping on and stop trying to figure it out 🙂

  7. It’s funny isn’t it! I have one from my #MusicalMarch hashtag that keeps getting viewed, day 10 to be precise, and its not like I wrote any special words in it too! Strange!
