JusJoJan24 the 28th – Changes

Ah, how I’ve changed.

I used to be happy to walk into places where people congregate.

Malls, planes, crowded city streets, concerts—squashed in a sea of screaming, singing people? Let’s go!

But now …

No thanks.

I wonder sometimes if I’d have changed in this way even if it hadn’t been for the pandemic.

I mean, we change as we get older. Right?

There was a time when I thought I’d be happy to live my life spending all my spare time riding a horse. Sure, I’d like to do it again, but I don’t miss it.

So yeah. Congregating online has become more my speed. I can do that and be a desk jockey at the same time.

Many thanks again, Fandango, for the prompt!

As I’ve gotten older, socializing with large groups of people has become more draining. I have not been around horses in a few years, but I wouldn’t mind that a bit.

Perhaps, but Covid was the catalyst that changed many norms.

A I age, I find myself taking congregate life in small sips, as is my nature. But since the pandemic…I’m still a little extra feral and avoidant. Great topic to consider!

I’m such a home body too but once I go out I’m usually happy to see people.
