My “new” Lenovo laptop (less than two years) that is so slow I can’t do a Facebook video chat on it without it crashing and that shuts off randomly, just broke the frame around the screen because the hinge bent from regular opening and closing. Meanwhile, my 10 year old Asus transformer with Windows 8 is still as fast and reliable as ever. I bought a new Asus laptop today.
If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.
NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
1. Make it one sentence.
2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.
3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.
4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!
5. Have fun!

Technology really can be a feast or famine situation. Sounds like it’s Asus for the win.

I’m not participating this week, but I did recently buy a Lenovo laptop, so you have me repeating your one-liner.

It mostly stays open, but I will work gingerly.

We had an ASUS for years. On Acer now. I miss Windows 8 and XP. Hate 10, and Hubby discovered 11 took up 85% of his memory!

XP and Windows 7 were the best! And yeah, my Lenovo’s capabilities only just passed the requirements for Windows 11 by a hair, thus the problems. Aside from the actual build of the thing, which is unconscionable as far as I’m concerned.

I bought a new Lenovo two years ago that I ended up giving to a grandson after a few months. No matter how I adjusted the visual settings, the text wasn’t crisp and sharp. It took way too much problem solving and reading forum discussions (because tech support couldn’t solve it either) to finally discover the visual card, or whatever, in the computer didn’t have the capacity to be adjusted sharper-er. 🤷♀️

All my problems are due to lack of capacity issues too. Maybe the really expensive Lenovos are good, but the cheap ones? Never again.

Must be something in the air. My not-that-old Dell laptop apparently died yesterday. While I can read, comment and like other people’s blogs using my phone, I can’t or won’t post to my own using one. I know many do… Sadly, neither David nor I can afford to replace it, so I’m SOL. I’m glad you were able to replace yours and have a backup, but it still sucks that you had to.
