Okay, I’m ready to hibernate. Who do I have to talk to about not having to step a foot out of the house this winter?
If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.
NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
1. Make it one sentence.
2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.
3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.
4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!
5. Have fun!

Right?! Here in New Hampshire (so southern Canada 🙂 ), it has been “crisp.” I love it, but I’m literally kind of sick to my stomach thinking about “winter is coming.” Ugh. Let me know if you find a good cave.

It was cold enough to start the woodstove last night! It was in the forties. And here is my One-liner:https://loucarrerascarver.com/2026/09/23/one-liner-wednesday-september-23-2026/

It’s still special…in a month it’ll be normal, by January it’ll be a pain, and in February I’ll be a curse.

Stepped out onto the deck this morning to feed the crows and it’s only 59°F. It was getting up into the upper 80s over the weekend so I barely know how to deal with the swing. I vote we all find a way to hibernate. 😊

I stepped both feet out this morning for a walk. Last week, same time, I was wearing a tee shirt and came home hot. Today, I was wearing a hoodie and came home cold. 46°f (8°c). I hope you have a good week, Linda — stay warm.

I’m with you, Linda! 😂 If you find out who’s in charge of approving winter hibernation, please let the rest of us know! There’s something very appealing about staying warm and cozy indoors until spring decides to return. ☕🧣❄️
