I’m finding it difficult to come up with something trivial to post here today, when in the Philippines so many are feared dead.
There have been too many natural disasters to count, far too many innocent lives.
It boggles the mind.

There's a writer in here, clawing her way out.

Just seeing how it was going to hit was enough to put me on my knees. I can’t bear the tragedy since it’s actually happened. It’s devastating. We all have good reasons to be more grateful today.

It’s hard for us to think about, it’s worse for them.

We can only hope they feel our collective thoughts with them.

hope has it’s place, but sometimes collective thoughts and prayers are not enough, they must be offered money for food, shelter and medicine.

My coworker will be putting up a blog post where people can go to donate hopefully soon, I’ll be sure to give a shout out to that. She lives in the Philippines and I’ve been so worried about all my co-workers from there. 😦

I’ll be thinking of them, Bradley.
You bring up a good point: donations. I usually donate to the Red Cross, and will be this time as well.

Nature is a fierce force at times, and we are helpless victims. Prayers for the people of the Philippines.

It’s really all we can do. And yet, if it helps us to appreciate what we have then maybe, just maybe, we can make the world we do live in a better place.
Thank you for your comment.

Horrific act of nature. It is difficult to watch the number of dead rising into the thousands and believe that this is actually happening.

You’re so right. We are so far removed from it, and yet it’s like wondering why the sun can still shine when we’re grieving.

I find it surreal, too. It’s so easy for us to be removed from it and pretend it isn’t happening. It almost feels like unless you’re looking for news, the media even does what they can to make it as if it’s not.

You are so right, Linda. Let us bow our head for a moment, to honor those who lost their homes, their ways of life, and their lives.
