Is it a good sign that I want to blow up everyone in my NaNoWriMo novel? I’m thinking a nice gas explosion would come in handy right about now. Unfortunately that would mean killing off the narrator. I doubt that would go over well in most literary circles.
I think the most creative way I’ve written for anyone to die has to be my story of the unluckiest man alive:

What’s yours?

I was lucky enough to attend a high tea with an author here in Australia. We asked her lots of questions about all sorts of things but seeing your post reminded me of something she said. She killed one of the main characters off in the book. It was a shock to everyone reading it because it came right out of the blue. The author told us that one night she got a phone call at about midnight that woke her up. She answered the phone and heard one of her friends yell “Why did you kill her?????” lol
So if you kill someone off, be prepared for backlash!! lol

Haha! Well, I did it. I blew them all up. But only one person died. You’ll have to read the book to find out who it was. 😉
Thanks for sharing this, Sue 😀

An unexpected death caused by a series of unfortunate events. i.e. slipping on ice, cracking head, getting up, hit by snowball, followed by a sneeze that blows the person`s brains out the back of their head !

LMFAO… I’ve managed to kill off almost half my cast of characters and I am in the process of killing around 20,000-30,000 as I wrap up my big war that twenty chapters built towards… lol…

You mean you could read a 50,000 word novel that just ends with an explosion? I think it would piss most people off. 😛
I like it too. 😀

The most creative way of killing off a character I have ever had was – to deny them an existence by not doing nanowrimo as I was going to 😉 So the fact that yours get a shot at life and EVEN though you want to commit mas murder on them at this time (which I can only imagine must be one of the side effects of doing nano!) I would say they are in very generous capable hands 😉 YAY _ GO LINDA! 😛

Is it possible that you got tired of the book? I did with my pirate book, I was tired and I didn’t know how to finish it! I almost killed them all….But maybe killing the main, people would hate you, but it’s something totally original! I’d recognize the genius…after I’ve calmed down…

Hehehe. I’m afraid no one would ever read another word I wrote.
I just don’t know how to end the thing. It got so complicated that I got lost – and there’s no time now to go back and figure it out. Maybe I’ll kill them all in the first draft and go back and fix it in March, for NaNoEdMo. 😛

As for your question that would be incriminating…lol
I have thought of death by sneezing though.. It would be cross between asphyxiation and heart attack.. Think about the next time sneeze, like 3-4 times in a row:)
