Well, I did it. I risked incarceration to bring you a picture of two of my favourite houses that I walk past every day on my paper route.
Hope you like them.

Agree with navigator1965. I’ve lived in CT and Ma along the coast; those indeed look like the homes I walked by (but never lived in), imagining the safe harbor they represented to seamen & captains of days gone by.

Interesting that they should be built this far inland. It makes me wonder who built them.
Funny enough, I was thinking about you yesterday, and here you are as though I conjured you up. 🙂 I hope you and your family are well.

I love to look at houses like that and imagine what they look like inside.

If either of them ever go up for sale I’ll have a look… and I’ll take pictures! 😀

Haha! No, I don’t think so. I’m just afraid someone will think I’m peeping. 😛 Glad you like it. 🙂

Reminds me of east coast sea captains’ houses.

I wondered where I’d seen that style before. I think it may have been Ann of Green Gables. 🙂

There are many huge houses in this neighbourhood. It must have been a very rich area back in the day. It’s all Loyalist country.

It’s beautiful – and so grand! I too love old houses and gardens. I took a photo of a quaint one with a profuse garden yesterday, when I was on my morning run with Big. Couldn’t not take a pic (I tweeted it!)

I’ll have to try to get a picture of the garden in the summer. 🙂
