    Hafta say losing eves troughs sucks. I don’t have any anymore, but do remember the havoc of ice on them. Soooorrrraaaay

    Dang. Our neighbor had to leave a few of his on, because he knew if he broke them, they’d pull the eaves down en masse! They’ve melted now.

      It was the weight of the ice sliding off the roof that brought them down. It’s been melting and freezing on a weekly if not daily basis, and it just keeps building. The front of the house will probably be next. Can’t wait.

      It’s actually funny, because my insurance agent called on another matter about 10 minutes after it happened. So I was all like, “By the way…. do you cover ice damage?” Haha. He’s looking into it. But he said the deductible will probably be about as much as getting them reinstalled professionally.
