Overwhelmed and Underlively

Underlively. I just made up a new word. But it’s exactly how I feel. I have a rotten summer cold with an itch between my throat and my ear that’s driving me nuts. You know, the one that makes you want to thread a handkerchief through your skull between your earholes and give your sinuses a shoeshine.

Between that and the kids staying home soon and running around for my mother, I’m too wiped to even answer my own comments here on WordPress. So I’ve decided to take a break. I’ll be back for the Friday SoCS prompt, but until I get a break from everything, cold included, I’m afraid the best I may come up with is a disjointed story on my fiction blog.

So take care everyone. Watch for the prompt on Friday, and I’ll see you hopefully on the flipside of this bug in my head – as long as I don’t scratch my brain too hard.

I so identify! Between flares, sinus/ ear infections– and computers going on the blitz, I’m ready to go live in a cave. Hope you’re feeling better now. I love your new word. Underlively fits me perfectly.

Sure it’s not allergies? I take Zyrtec, Flonase, and Benadryl off and on from now until the first frost. Benadryl clears up itching better than most. If you’re sure it’s a cold, I sure hope you’re well soon!

My son Chris had it last weekend, so I’m pretty sure I picked it up from him. I did take an antihistamine (thanks to your recommendation) last night though, and I’m feeling a bit better today. Maybe half of it’s allergies after all. 🙂
      Much appreciated, Joey. 🙂

When I moved to Georgia, I didn’t have allergies UNTIL WINTER?!? I thought I had a terrible cold. Told the Army doc how very, very sick I was. He examined me and said I had allergies. I said, “I’ve had allergies all my life! I’m sick!” He finally consented that I was sick, but said he would have me back to healthy in 3 days, tops. Pine trees. Different species. Much pollen. IN WINTER. My cousin came to visit, and she got the same sickness, so I said, “Aha!” and “Who knew?” LOL So now I like to make sure it’s not allergies 😉

Ugh! I also have this and you’re right…there’s no help for it other than just to disconnect from the entire world till you’re over it! Feel better soon!

An itch in the eustachian tube! Ugh. Gargle a lot with Listerine or whatever you use. That always works for me. Take care of yourself…
