I don’t hang things on my walls very often. To buy something, for me, takes a lot. I have to love it–it has to really grab me. It has to fuel my imagination, or remind me of something.
One of my favourite pieces of art is a plaster cast I picked up a few years ago at an artisan market in Kingston. They set up every summer in Market Square–I’m not sure if it’s only every weekend or how many weekends they’re there throughout the summer.
I bought this from a very nice lady named Rose.
It’s apparently meant to go outside, but I hung it in my kitchen because I wanted to be able to look at it all year round. It took me a while, but I found her Etsy shop here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/ConcreteDesignStudio?page=1 Check it out–there are some really beautiful sculptures there.
I’ll be back tomorrow with what will hopefully be a longer jot. Have a wonderful night!

That is beautiful. I like the idea of hanging it where youcan see it.

I greatly enjoyed the prompt not only writing, but reading and seeing glimpses into other people’s worlds in this manner. I love the piece you chose to share, and somehow it fits so well with the Linda I know from these pages and your novels. 🙂

Thanks! Isn’t it great? She has one for sale in her store–maybe I’ll get another one for outside. 😀
