Hey! I know what you’re thinking–Linda made it to her own party (SoCS) on time for once! No? Okay, just humor me. That’s what you’re thinking, okay?
I’m writing early because I’m off to a concert tonight. No, it’s not rap. Going to see The Glorious Sons in their hometown of Kingston. I’m not sure how late I’ll be home, and I may be exhausted, so here I am. Wrapping my post up in a neat little package.
I do like wrapping things up. The feeling of completeness that comes with wrapping things–the neatness of it–is satisfying. I can’t stand wrapping presents, though. Don’t tell my family.
Especially at Christmas, because I always leave it to the last minute, at which point it feels like a bit of a waste of time. But if I wrapped the gifts and put them under the tree early, the dog would eat them. He loves eating paper. And the last thing I want to see is gift-wrapped poop sitting in the snow in my back yard.
On the other hand… wouldn’t it look better?
K, off I go. Peace, my friends.

Hope your concert great! I personally, hate wrapping, though can do it – used to work in a gift shop – but, in the end – I prefer to have more time/energy spent in the ‘gift’ than the wrapping that announces it – usually, wrapping is done with clearance paper from last year’s ‘after sales’ or years before, while sitting on floor, while drinking wine, and chatting with a friend who doesn’t mind wrapping – otherwise? Um, yeah – there’s your gift – (sitting there, put in crate or bag for your transport/my transport) or lovingly wrapped in re-used plastic bags and some duct tape, just to give me the thrill of upcycling and remembering my dad’s wrapping skills – 🙂 LOL

Enjoy the concert!
Even I don’t like leaving anything pending. Wrapping things up gives me a sense of accomplishment.
However, I like wrapping presents!

I love wrapping presents, but don’t do it much anymore. Maybe I could come wrap yours. 😉 Hope you enjoyed the concert, you deserve a night out!

Wrapping is a secret pleasure of mine. Sometimes I tell people that but more often than not they give me a “you crazy” side eye. Hope you had a great time at the concert!

Enjoy the concert, Linda. Thanks again for the prompt. Our dog eats the wrapping paper too – it’s her Christmas gift.

Wrapping up can be fun. Can be satisfying. Can be a little sad, sometimes.
Have a LOVELY time at the concert! 🙂

I just became visual, when I read about your dog, paper and garden 😀
