This post is part of Just Jot it January, and the prompt word, “fini.” See how to join in here!
It occurred to me tonight that being a parent means having to accept help sometimes.
Even when you don’t want it.
Because sometimes your kids want to help.
And what would have taken you five minutes to do, ends up taking an infinity.
Or so it seems.
But you’ve gotta love ’em, don’t you?
🙄😂

Ha! You love em cos they are your offspring! And you let them help even when you don’t want to because you love em!

How else will they learn?
(I’ve seen the results between parents who let them ‘help’, and parents who do everything for their kids….and many times it’s not pretty.) Take the inexpert ‘help’, resist the inclination to re-do it whenever possible, and it will be worth it in the end. 💞

Lol! Thankfully mine are at the age that their help does cut down the total time.

We do! Isn’t that something we should teaching them as we age & they grow? How to give, as well as how to receive? There’s grace in that..

Indeed. They learn what they see us do far better than what we tell them. 🙂
