Preorder and support Breast Cancer Research

There’s a new romance anthology coming out soon, and I have a brand new short story in it!

My contribution to the anthology is “Fired Up,” a romcom that’s set in the town of Bevershire, home of Woody O’Flanagan’s Pub. There are a few cameos from characters you’ll know if you’ve read the “Once a Week at Woody’s” series.

Here’s what an early reader of my contribution said: “…such a cute story! A gal leaving her busy life in the city to work at a quaint small town newspaper with the adorably sexy bachelor school teacher. Could totally be a Hallmark movie, spicy version.”

The anthology comes out February 12th. Here’s the description:

Dive into a world where love ignites in the blink of an eye with “Just Add Love,” a captivating collection of contemporary romance short stories. Each tale weaves the enchanting theme of instalove, exploring the magic that happens when two hearts collide unexpectedly.

From encounters in bustling city cafes to chance meetings at picturesque parks, these stories celebrate the exhilarating spark of immediate connection. Follow characters as they navigate their emotions, face their fears, and discover the transformative power of love at first sight.
Perfect for readers who believe in the beauty of spontaneous romance, “Just Add Love” invites you to experience heartwarming moments, laughter, and a few delightful surprises along the way.

All proceeds go to Breast Cancer Research.

Romance Cafe Publishing has been donating to BCRF from the proceeds to select anthologies since 2019.

Get it on Kindle here. (Clicking the “Kindle” button in this link will automatically take you to Kindle in your country.)

Thank you!

One-Liner Wednesday – I don’t understand

I don’t understand cameras—both photos were taken when it was equally dark outside.

Photo: A snowy scene with a small front yard surrounded by bushes, trees and houses in the background, all covered in snow. The sky is almost as white as the snow. Photo faces northeast.

Photo: A view through a darkened window with gauzy drapes and outside, the roof of my neighbour’s house and a snow-covered leafless tree glowing white against a dark gray sky. Photo faces southeast.

If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.

NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.

4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!

5. Have fun!
