Sometimes I want to just write something and make it public.
Get my brainwaves out into the world in the form of words.
SoCS is great for that because I don’t have to think too much. You get what you get.
I wish I could just do that with books. I’d certainly get them written a lot faster that way.
I’ve thought about starting a pen name with which I can just write whatever comes into my head and put it out in the world without editing it. Because as an editor, I can’t allow myself to just do that … I’d ruin my reputation. I need to be perfect, after all.
Or at least strive for perfection.
Alas, I don’t have the energy to do such things AND write my edited books in my own name.
But I still have SoCS.
It scratches the itch when I need it scratched.

Well done, and I understand. I like SoCS because it’s not part of a larger project. It doesn’t have to move the story along and it doesn’t really have to make sense.
Now that JusJoJan is done, I’d like to thank you for running it again. It really does get my mind working. It makes up for some of the spirit-dampening crush of winter — especially this winter. I hope you can relax with a glass of wine and the satisfaction of a job(ish) well done.

awesome Linda! Writing stream of consciousness style is good too especially since you don’t have to edit it!
