There are days when I wish I could just run away – escape even for an hour. To drink a cup of coffee without being interrupted, or to close my eyes and hear nothing but the snow falling.

It scares me when parents say things like that because I want to have kids of my own some day…

I suppose like any 24/7 job that you do 26 days out of every 28, it’s bound to get a little tiring… It’s not as bad when you’ve got someone to share the workload with.

well the bright side is now you’re one of those people who can hear snow falling and appreciate it, which is rare, I think

I think what’s more rare than people who can hear it, is finding a situation where it’s quiet enough to hear it. I really miss being out in the country for that, amongst other things.

Is there anyone who can take over for an hour and give you that blessed time ? You need to have it. I send you beautiful thoughts on which to float.

Thank you for the thoughts, Patricia. They do help. There’s no one this weekend, but Monday when they go back to school…

I hope you will find some “seclusion” soon. I know life gets “cluttered” in our minds. Can you really hear snow falling? 😀

I truly have felt like that, when the boys were small and my husband was working away more than he was home. The daily trudge from the second they awake …provided you have had a good night, … until they sleep again. All I can say is all things will pass and what does not kill you makes you stronger! Sending you strength and empathy ….I hope that is helpful.xxxxxxxxxx
