Nothing quite like a snowman’s eyeballs laying on the driveway to remind us everything is ephemeral.
- Before
- After
Photos: Before–a cute snowman with one red eye and one green eye. After–a much smaller pile of snow with one red bottle cap and one green bottle cap laying beside it on the pavement.
If you would like to participate in this prompt, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a pingback, just copy the URL in the address bar on this post, and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments below. Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but me.
NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, like Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a pingback from someone else in my comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.
Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”
The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:
1. Make it one sentence.
2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.
3. Use our unique tag #1linerWeds.
4. Add our lovely badge to your post for extra exposure!
5. Have fun!

You have a fascinating blog hop here, Linda and I might just hop in with my #WordlessWednesday which does get a bit wordy, but I’ll toil hard to keep it a one liner. 🙂
Spring is on it’s way, so enjoy.
Happy tidings.:)

We’ve had a lot of snow melt here, too. Finally saw the yard without snow, except where it had piled up, for the first time since December.

You must have had about the same as we did. We still have a bit of ice in the shadiest spots, too, but the rest of it is gone.

There is a “contest” among upstate NY cities on who gets the most snow over the season. This year Binghamton is well in the lead at 100 inches, which is about three meters.

Oops. That’s two and a half meters. Shouldn’t be doing conversions in my head at this time of the evening. 😉

Meh, give or take a foot and a half. When it gets that deep, it’s just semantics. Haha!

I admit, though, that it was nice to have snow on the ground all winter. It reminded me of my childhood in New England.

It is nice, as long as it’s not too too cold. I’ve had more green Christmases in eleven years this town than I can count. Before that, I can only remember one my whole life.

Agreed. Super cold temps and wind make winter very difficult, snow or no.

Right? I got to thinking, at least they can reuse the bottle caps for next year’s snowman, but then I got to thinking how creepy the idea of an eyeball transplant is. Haha!
