I am very thrilled and delighted to show you myĀ beautiful, shiny new book! Chris at The Story Reading Ape has done an absolutely brilliant job of designing the perfect cover for it too. Ā He was so helpful and accommodating to me, despite my inexperience in these matters and problems with my e-mail!

At the moment, it is available at CreateSpace, but by tomorrow, it should be available on Kindle and shortly afterward Amazon.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I had been encouraged to publish a collection of my poems, and now I have finally done it! I do love to rhyme things and this book is pretty much a compilation of some of my favourites! I have even included some of the raunchier ones to add a little extra spice!

J and I publishing (click to visit our spanking new blog–no, not new spanking blog…dirty minds) has been busy. I apologise that I haven’t been around much answering comments and dropping in to see how things are going, but I’ve been creating another Ionia masterpiece. (Really I’ve been messing around with art supplies like a little kid in kindergarten.)

For those of you who have had one of those days recently, or know someone who has, here’s a little something fun to do. Sorry, Chris. I’ve tried to curb the swearing, but it is an addiction.

Ever just have one of those days where you want to randomly shout swear words but resist because you are at work…

unbucket list

Need some cheering up? Read this lovely, inspiring poem by Candy! šŸ˜€

Candace's avatarrhymeswithbug

I will not make a buck-
et list
all things I’d like to do
someday

then tick them off
one by one
until my bucket’s
empty and I am left

instead I will drop some-
thing into my bucket
each day
a kind deed, an adventure

with a four year-old,
a trip, a concert, an un-
expected email,
lunch with a friend

oh, I’m sure there will be big
surprises in my bucket too
and when I reach the end
of this life

I will spill out all the
wonders my bucket
holds, smiling in
gratitude for my full bucket

To Do or Not To Do Tuesday: Week 8 (sort of)

If you’re still on the fence about JusJoJan and/or you’re looking for a new weekly writing prompt, check out Deborah’s post!
Note: Click on the original post and comment there. Thanks!

admin-ajax.phpIt has been weeks 8 since I’ve started this feature, but it’s only the 7th post because, well last week’s unwritten To or Not To Tuesday post could easily have been about whether or not to write a To or Not to Tuesday post that day, and we all know (or can easily find out) that such a post did not occur.

But hey, that’s the beauty of it. It can go either way, and last week I obviously needed a break. Everything sort of got lost in a blur of depression that I tried to largely overlook. But depression would have none of that. The good news is that the cloud lifted a bit (a few days later than I had hoped for), but that’s another story.

Anyway, I wasn’t sure what this week’s post would be other than I’ve been thinking a lot about my blog and what…

New WordPress Ratings Widget…In case you didn’t know about it…

I don’t get it. Do you? Like I said on the original post, it’s like having spinach stuck in your teeth – nobody wants to talk about the appearance of it, but it’s staring you right in your comments.

Many of you have noticed a strange interloper polldaddy link attached to WordPressers who leave comments on your posts.

This is a new Ratings Widget thingy from WordPress.

I do NOT understand a word they’ve written about it, but youĀ can read about it at:

Where are your words, Paul Curran?

It seems frequent guest poster and most famous commenter Paul Curran hasn’t been seen of late. If you have any information on his whereabouts or how he is, please comment here or on the original post. And if you read this Paul, we’re worried about you!

markbialczak's avatarMark Bialczak

The constant commenter has not been commenting these days.

WordPress’s most prolific guest poster isn’t sending out posts to any of his regular places, either.

There’s been a hole in BloggyVille where Paul Curran’s words are supposed to be shining, waxing, tickling, educating.

Paul Curran, we want to hear from you again. Paul Curran, we want to hear from you again.

A few of us who’ve regularly hit the publish button to allow the friendly Canadian to share his thoughts with so many are concerned.

Willow, of Willowdot21 over in the U.K., reported that he never sent over his regular Sunday Cuppa column to her for Nov. 8, and that was after he said he was too ill to write his Nov. 1 piece.

Cordelia’s Mom confirms that she hasn’t heard from him either.

The latest guest blog I’ve found is Paul’s lovely piece on driving truck Mama Mick Terry published on Nov. 9. However, Paul did not reply…

In the first book, My GRL John was able to thwart the plot to destroy the Annapolis midshipmen on their summer cruise. Of course, terrorists being what they are not content with just one try to embarrass America. In His Revenge, Matt Jacobs takes his hatred for America and John Cannon to another level. The action moves from a barrier Island off the coast of Texas to Washington DC, then to Northern California, and finally to Ecuador. John is on the receiving end of an offer he cannot, refuse. His avowed enemy Matt Jacobs now wants John to help him shake the reputation of the US in the world political arena. If John refuses, Matt…
