JusJoJan 5 – Keeping It Together

I can always tell when my youngest son, Alex, is ready to go back to school after having time off – his behaviour is intolerable. Right now I’m trying to ignore him while he plays a game on his Wii U and screams and claps louder than one would think is humanly possible. The alternative is to shut him in his room until tomorrow morning, in which case he won’t get the nutrition he needs because he’ll unplug his feeding pump.

If tomorrow is a snow day I may just kill something.

Don’t let the above post scare you off! Post on your site, and join Just Jot it January. The rules are easy!

I have a four year old and an 11yr old – oh and a 16 yr old 😉 I think you will find it a nice change dear – when shall we arrange for you to go fetch them from school, all grumpy and hungry and tired? Bless them though!

I hear you – Oh I hear you – when is the little guy back at school Hun?

Tomorrow, I hope. Today was indeed a snow day – see my latest post for details. 😉

I’d still trade you in a minute by the way.

Why do I keep getting confused where you live? UK or USA?
Gosh darn it!! (I could probably find out by coming over a bit – but you know – easier to just ask. ho hum…

Canada, practically next door to Nav. You’re not alone though – I can never keep track of where people are. 😛

I swear – some one just KNOWS – and others one keeps getting mixed up – a bit like how I always mix up my left from my right….but – now you mention it — I NOW remember Nav saying something along those lines when he — great NOW I remember – when he was guest blogging and you slipped on the ice!!! (blimey my memory is getting bad!)

It doesn’t scare me, because I have been there, done that! Hang in there. I’ll be praying for school…for you! I on the other hand (as a employee of the public school system) am praying for an ice day here. My kids are all grown though, so no one would be in danger…lol! 🙂

You know as our children age the days they drove us crazy soon vanish and only the ones that touch us stay in our brains.
Just remember you are not alone…and you too could always go outdoors into the world of white
From a teacher who taught for 35+ years!

I wish… neither my 18 year old autistic son can be left alone, nor can my little guy, who is 13 and has a myriad of health and mental issues. I’ll probably have them both at home until I’m old enough to need someone to take care of me. On the same token, I’m not afraid to go out. I do every day, rain or shine. But one refuses to come with me and the other can’t most of the time.

I’m afraid school, and wonderful teachers such as yourself, are my only hope. 😛

Not to be unkind, but as the saying goes “we are only given what we can handle”. It is parents like you that give so much to their children and never seem to get the help they need. If i lived near by I would be happy to come over and give you a break to escape and be good to your self.
Now there must be someone like me around who would love to help you out. You do have to look after yourself to be the beautiful person you are.
Hang in there as school will start soon. ; )

Thank you so much for your support, even if it is from a distance. I do get a little help here and there from a friend. And in between I just do my best not to pull my hair out. 😛

Tomorrow, with any luck, things should be back to normal. 🙂

We’re currently getting hit hard with the snow, slush, and ice, ice, ice. This has to be the most snowfall I’ve seen in many years. Not sure what’s caused it, but the terrible cold is also coming back to remind up Old Man Winter’s on the warpath this season. I’m already tired and it hasn’t even been a week into January. What will February be like? Yikes!

Sounds like we’ll have to start calling you Jack Frost! (Bet you’ve never heard that one before. haha)

I’ve seen some pretty bad winters where you are. They’re calling for rain all night here… hope it doesn’t freeze. February’s gotta be better – doesn’t it?

I suppose, that you have a lot of snow now. Maybe you could ask the energic boy removing some of it. If that is not possible and you need a little peace, you can go outside and remove the snow. It demands so much energy anyway. Send you my best thoughts.

So what happens in summer?! I suppose they can actually go outside. Well, kill a bear tomorrow if you need to. From the tales they can do it with a knife, in a loin cloth, even if it’s -100 out. Take pictures.

I fully understand that. Honestly, I think the same happens with a few adults if they’re off of work for too long.
