Shock

I’m writing this as I sit in a state of shock. The numbness – the suspension of disbelief – I feel when I find out that suddenly someone I grew up “knowing” has died, is incomparable to anything else. It’s not as though I actually knew the man. Yet he was part of my life. The kind of guy you figure will be around forever.

Stars are immortal, and yet they’re not.

Rest in peace, Robin Williams.

Nanoo nanoo.

It makes me sad. I really wish they would’ve kept the details private. It wasn’t very dignified of them.

So true, I couldn’t believe it when the news broke, and then even more so when it was said to be a suicide. None of this computes…so sad.

He was an icon. A legend. Not just for MY generation, but for my parents as well. I am watching Aladdin right now with my kids, and some of our favourite movies include Mrs. Doubtfire, Dead Poets Society. He brought laughs and smiles to the hearts and lives of many. I want to make sure that my children have the joy of seeing his comedic genius live on though his movies. I do not normally become affected by a celebrity passing, but I have been fighting
    back tears all day.

*do not cry because its over. Smile because it happened*

Oh no, Williams is my partner’s role model/hero… he’s gonna be crushed when he wakes up and finds out. I’m sad too, but not anywhere near where he is going to be. Williams was such a vibrant, creative comedian. A very sad loss. We definitely thought he’d be around for many more years.

It’s hard to imagine a world without him. Some will definitely be taking the news harder than others, for so many different reasons. The circumstances alone are heartbreaking. I hope your partner is okay.

I was just about to start writing a blog post about this. I am so sad to hear about this news. Robin Williams was such a brilliant actor and comedian. “Good Will Hunting” and “Dead Poets Society” are two of my favorite films. It’s devastating to learn how depressed he was.

I thought he’d be around for the next 20 years. My favourite actor and comedian. I’m numb.

I was shocked too. Didn’t want to believe the first stories I saw about it, but when the major news outlet started reporting it, I had no choice. I will miss him. He was one of my favorite comedians 😦
