How did we meet?

One of my favourite things about WordPress is the way networking works. Sometimes I go looking for other bloggers according to interests (tag search in the Reader is a wonderful tool!),  once in a while I’ll discover someone through an article shared on FaceBook, and I can’t count how many people I’ve met through HarsH ReaLiTy. (Have you checked out Jason’s new site yet? If not, you should! Click here!) Often I stumble across another because of an interesting comment they’ve left on a blog we both follow.

And then there are the prompts. I’ve met countless bloggers through the A-Z April Challenge, a few through The Daily Post, and many through my own prompts, which is something I find amazing.

I can’t remember where I met you all, though some I do. Do you remember how you first found me? Or did I find  you first? And how long has it been?

Please let me know in the comments. 😀

  1. My sad little “when I met you” story matches some of the comments already posted, thus further leaching any degree of dignity in my weak attempt to be clever and original: I just now made your acquaintance via Jason at OM. (Wait. Does this qualify as a One-Liner entry? Have I accomplished at least something? Love me!) 😉

  2. I met you on a comment thread on Harsh Reality. I liked your wit, humour, and intelligence. I’ve participated in One Liner Wednesday and SOCS. I’m also privlidged to be a beta reader for you! I’m so glad our paths crossed on WP and I found a fellow fun loving Canadian like me. 😃🍁

  6. I know this one! You commented on my first A to Z post! I was just barely out of the “Zero-to-hero” stage of WP…and went crazy and decided to do A to Z…and now I am facing my third one! I am so so happy that I found you, Linda…I think in a way you have become a muse for me ❤

  7. I’ve found your blog just now through OM (Opinionated Man). He shared this post. This is indeed a great way to know and welcome other bloggers. Keep it up!

  9. You were driving drunk, as Canadians do, and drove your truck into my igloo. Luckily I was only renting that igloo…

  10. We clicked with one another because of Don Charisma posting about WP giving OM a ration of (_ _ _ _). Everything happens for a reason. I’m beyond grateful for reason! Because of you and others, my life became that much more interesting to me. Connections to such wonderful & interesting individuals are always welcome. Thank You Linda 🙂

  12. The first time I contributed to anything of yours was on One liner Wednesday, I know that. As to how I came upon your blog, I don’t recall, but I’m very glad I did, you have provided me with a great deal of inspiration.

  13. I don’t quite know. I know not from my participation in A-to-z because I haven’t tried it, find the whole thing rather intimidating, but I was reading a lot of blogs who did it last year.
I know it happened before April, but just right before, as I went through all my posts on my blog last year and know when exactly I first took part in your stream of consciousness posts.
I probably found you through someone else I was already following who did SoCS because I just remember I kept hearing my voice program say SoCS and I didn’t know what it meant, as the voice saying those initials sounded funny. I became curious after I heard it again and again so I looked into it further and discovered the wonder of stream of consciousness writing and I was hooked.
    Thank you so much.
Glad I found you, a fellow Canadian, and soon learned just how close we are to each other off of the blogging world. Small small world really.

    • It’s funny – I’m so used to reading SoCS as “socks” that I hadn’t realised how weird it sounds when you spell it out. I’m so glad you investigated, Kerry! 😀 I, too, love meeting fellow Canadians. There aren’t really that many of us on here. Being such a huge country, it is indeed pretty cool when we come across someone who lives practically in our back yard. 🙂

  14. I don’t remember how I found you, but I’m glad I did. I do know it has been only a month since I found you. I enjoyed the JusJoJan and look forward to continuing the SoCS.

  15. I know we connected through HarsH ReaLiTy, but I’m not sure who followed whom first. I started doing One-Liner Wednesday and SoCS in November 2014. Linda, I want to thank you for being my number one commenter at Top of JC’s Mind.

  18. I met you thru Michael on Morpethroad. This was after you folks got your directions sorted out, and began to SoCS. I did a couple of soc posts, then signed on to just jot it January.
    As to how I know Michael, that best remain a secret . . . . 🙂

  20. I think it’s been almost if not just 3 years since we met. I had just started blogging as Dean’z Doodlez, and was just starting to get into the world of indie writing. Actually, I think it was through the Community Storyboard was how we were introduced, when I was brought on board as a fellow editor! 😀

  22. I’m sure it was that dark and steamy night back in March of the was just that. You were lost, asked for directions then we were both lost. You said where is Morpethroad and I asked what sort of a place Linda Hill was. It was all confusing for while. Then we SOCed and never looked back.

  23. There are at least 5 comments in this thread from bloggers that I follow, plus others that respond to your prompts. Not sure which one introduced me first to your blog. Glad it happened. ☺

  25. I don’t recall exactly how I got to your site, whether it was through the WP Reader or through Jason’s site – but I do remember it was because I liked one of your posts about your paper route. I believe I commented on that post, and then you checked out my blog at some point (but I don’t think it was right away), and then decided you liked what you saw on my site as well. And the rest, as they say, is history. Personally, I’m very glad I found you.

  34. It was through Jason’s blog. I believe u were a quest blogger. If not through the comments section. I remember your blog when it was small and it was just before or the same time you started your fiction blog.
