This is actually week #1 for me, since I’ve never participated in Share Your World before. This is exciting! On to the questions.
Have you done something you truly want to do today?
I’ve been procrastinating all day. I have so many huge projects to get on with, and yet all I can manage is to look at the clock and stress over time running out. What is that, anyway? Is there a name for this kind of anxiety? It’s weird. I think part of my problem is lack of exercise. I need to get out more often.
What can you help the world with?
What I’d like to help the world with is inspiration. I love being inspired and I strive to share my love of inspiration with the world. What I think I do help the world with (or at least I hope I do) is teaching by example, things like compassion, non-judgementalism, and that it doesn’t hurt to be honest.
If life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’… which fruit other than a cherry would you be..?
An avocado. Like me, they’re so misunderstood. Though I’d enjoy being in a state where I’m mistaken for a vegetable more often.
Quotes List: At least three of your favorite quotes?
“Happiness is the absence of striving for happiness.” ~ Chuang Tzu
“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.” ~ Charles Schulz
“Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.” ~ Groucho Marx
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful that puppy Winston is beginning to heal from his wounds, and is healthy and active.
To answer the second part of the question, more of just this:
The Share Your World prompt can be found here: http://ceenphotography.com/2016/02/29/share-your-world-2016-week-9/ Thanks, Cee, for the great questions!
Because love, this post is also part of Love Is In Da Blog: https://justfoolingaroundwithbee.wordpress.com/2016/02/28/a-last-loisindabl-prompt-for-2016/ which is on its final day today! So hard to believe! Thanks so much, Bee, for hosting it again this year. 😀

Hey Linda – I can u see being an avocado also because they are dense and nutrient rich – and as a writer and blog host that is u in this blogosphere!
And side note – “it doesn’t hurt to be honest” – well my experience is that it does hurt – and sometimes so much to bring issues – but is one of the things where it has long term fruits and maybe “they will thanks us later”- ha!!

Yes, you’re right – I should have clarified that statement that it doesn’t hurt to be honest. Honesty can be a tricky thing, and there are usually ways to at least avoid hurting someone whilst remaining honest. On the other hand, as you say, sometimes the benefits of honesty don’t reveal themselves until long after the fact. Thanks for provoking my thoughts. 🙂 And thank you for your kind words as well! 😀

Thanks for the reply and I o my clarified that because sometimes I have had to deal with the mess of honestly speaking up and sometimes run into that defensiveness or just distance it can create -and I like how you said there are usually ways to have delivery that avoids hurting – even though for me that has sometimes. It been the case – ha! And not to get rambling here (so thank you for provoking my thoughts) but I have learned that we have to earn the right to be brutally honest – or we just use tenderness understanding where someone is at – and the bank account analogy comes to mind for times of speaking up with honest truth – it can become a “big withdrawal” and so hopefully it is done with someone where their is an account so I does not go bankrupt – and so if the right deposits have been made leading up to some “honest input” well it could make the withdrawal not so hard – but it also depends on the age and current psyche of the person – and maybe even the relationship – but you know Linda – I. Igbo be thinking of “confronting with honesty” and that might be the more messy kind of truthfulness / hmmmm

I like your bank account analogy. 🙂 And I agree, any kind of confrontation can be messy. Always best to go with instinct, to decide what another person can handle.

Thanks Linda and looking forward to connecting a bit this year – even though I seriously can’t help think of you without feeling Doobsters presence – like I always remember his Soc Posts coming up (not that I read them all – but I know it was one of his favorite prompts)-
Have a great week my friend and thx again for your replies!

You are a bit of an avocado, aren’t you?
That thing where you procrastinate is a kind of anxiety (lack of motivation, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of change, etc, etc) and the only way to get rid of it is to get started.

I am like an avocado. Avocados are weird and delicious. And so am I.
Ugh. It’s too late now anyway. Gotta go pick up the kid from floor hockey… cheerleading… practice… sort of thing.
