Sometimes, the days plod along and a week seems to take forever to end.
But sometimes, like this morning, I look at my weekly planner and wonder where the week went.
So I decided to write about it on my blog. I opened my browser, fully intending to write this post. That was more than an hour ago for the mere fact that I’d left my browser last night so that it would open on Threads.
It took me more than an hour to get coffee. COFFEE! I went without COFFEE because social media and outrage kept me glued to my chair. Kept me from writing this post.
The algorithm is a dangerous, dangerous thing these days. It can capture you and hold you hostage with its fear of missing out, caffeineless, shifting your addiction to something far more prone to keep you from being productive.
So this is my heroic attempt to break myself out of that cycle of needing to know what’s going on beyond these four walls.
I have my coffee.
I am free.
For now.
This cautionary post is brought to you by Stream of Consciousness Saturday. Find this week’s prompt here and join in. It’s fun!
