Caution: Distracted Driving Ahead

The following sign is on a route which has little pedestrian traffic and is written to target drivers:

DDM

All two sentences of it.

DDM2

…. Seriously?

Or perhaps they should just save energy and put the target on the bumper of the car you’re tailgating while you’re trying to read the stupid sign!

Is that better or worse than getting a random text about the dangers of texting while driving?

Unbelieveable! I find the billboard signs that change as you drive by a terrible distraction. You don’t get to read it before it changes to something else and you just sort of incidentally find yourself looking twice, or pissed because you didn’t catch the entirety of what it said before it changed.

well no one said you have to be a rocket scientist in the civil service… although I do wish common sense was a prerequisite…

The prerequisite, apparently, is cluelessness. There’s a statistician somewhere banging his head against a desk because they can’t figure out why, suddenly, there are so many accidents in front of the Wellness Centre.

Imagine if an accident happened because someone was distracted by reading the sign about anti-distraction month.

Some body had to write about this somewhere. He/she was paid to write not to think.

Maybe it’s also ironic, ridiculous sign month as well??
