Random Stuff – #SoCS

It seems the concert I came all the way to Japan to see was the stuff of inspiration. I started writing a new novel today. Only 1,333 words into it – not quite up to NaNoWriMo standards, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to finish my first draft by Christmas. Thanks, as always, go to this guy for his inspirational lyrics:

Sakurai Atsushi

And the rest of the band for the awesome music:

Some of which you can listen to here:

(I’ll leave the video here for a limited time, so if you’re interested, listen to it soon.)

And so that’s most of my interesting stuff, at least the stuff I’ll disclose before I get back home to Canada. I have loads of fantastic sights to share and stories to tell. It’s been a trip for the books… so to speak.

    Love it.
I just secured myself a few tickets to a show next June. One of my favourite bands and I know what you mean about the inspiration music can provide, especially and specifically in terms of writing.
Glad it was a successful and enjoyable trip and safe travels back here to Canada in the meantime.

    • Thank you, Kerry! I’ll be sure to wave as I fly over your region of Ontario. I actually saw the falls from the air last time I came back in to Toronto.
Music is oh so inspirational for me. Glad it is for you too!

  8. You have my respect! You already did but now more. Who travels as a fan to Japan? I checked Sakurai Atsushi out on Google, what an interesting dude. Keep riding the wave!

  9. First draft by Christmas? That’d actually be faster than a NaNoWriMo turnaround at this rate. Good luck.

  12. Actually, the 1300 words are more than up to NaNoWriMo standards. Most people barely break 10k. You’re well on your way.

Are you writing Gothic horror? I mean, it doesn’t matter which genre it’s in because I’ll read it anyways. I’m just asking to try to figure out what I’ll be looking forward to.
