One-Liner Wednesday & JusJoJan the 19th, 2022 – Voice to text

So I’m walking down the road with the sun in my eyes but I want to write down my thoughts so I remember them later, so I use voice to text…

You’ll get a prompt for every day except Wednesday, when the prompt is simply my One-Liner Wednesday and on Saturday, when your prompt will be the Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS, which will appear at about 9:30am Friday. Each prompt post will include the rules.

2 a) The rules that I’ve made for myself (but don’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Try to make it either funny or inspirational.

Just Jot it January has led me to realize that Newton’s first law of motion—”An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion…”—applies to blogging. (Bloggers—read: me—being the object.)

One-Liner Wednesday – Pro tip

I had to get a COVID test today (aka a brain scrape), and it wasn’t that bad. The difference? The guy who administered it told me it would take ten seconds and he counted out loud to ten. It’s nice to know for sure there’s an end in sight … as nice as it can possibly be when you’re having a swab (aka a searing-hot poker) shoved into your nasal passages (aka a place no one should ever be allowed to explore).

Pro tip: ask the tester to count down the seconds.

One-Liner Wednesday – I won!

I decided when I woke up on the 14th of November, with only 7,334 words written so far, that I was going to finish NaNoWriMo. (National Novel Writing Month is a challenge to write 50,000 words in the month of November.) And I did it! 50,162! Go me!
