Considering my job is to throw the worst that could happen at the characters in my books, is it any wonder I worry about my kids all the time? Which leads to the question, where is the line between parenting and fiction drawn, since life is stranger?

…I totally forgot One-Liner Wednesday. I’m putting it down to the fact that the pharmacy screwed up Alex’s heart meds, causing him to miss a dose, and I was stressed over waiting until this morning to get it sorted out.

One-Liner Wednesday – Days

Alex had a tummy ache on Monday morning so I called in to the school to tell them he wouldn’t be in. Seems to be the same tummy ache he had when they did all the tests and found nothing. But the school won’t let him go back until he’s seen his doctor. While I appreciate the school’s caution, he’s home for the whole week whether he feels better or not.

Days are long.

And yes, I cheated on my own rules for One-Liner Wednesday.
