      • On number 9 you said “the first word”. I can’t recall exactly, but a lot of books for children (and adults, too) begin with the word “the”, so I figure it’s a safe bet that I read that word first. And for 10 you asked what made the world go round, not what started it in motion. A body in motion tends to remain in motion. You want a question back? Lemme think….

What makes people think that I am under some obligation to talk to them, just because they called my phone number? If I don’t want to have a conversation with someone, I just end the call. Why do people think that is rude?

        Like

        • 9. I remember when I could only read something like 4 words, “the,” “and,” “a,” and “I.” It did get boring.
          10. I was thinking more along the lines of inertia meaning inactivity… I failed physics class. 😛

Bonus: If you think about it, when you answer the phone you actually START the conversation by saying hello. So what you’re actually disputing is the inertia of the conversation by hanging up. My suggestion: next time someone calls you who you don’t want to talk to, ignore what they’re trying to say and instead go into a detailed diatribe on the definition of inertia. Then when they hang up on you, you can call them rude. Everyone wins!!
