276. Scenes from the Second Seat on the Right

Note: Adult theme.

Sunday, June 3rd, 5:00pm
Drommen (and Phillipa)

Drommen sits at the window. Phillipa takes the seat beside him.

Drommen: Nice afternoon.

Phillipa: Yes it is. I do love it when the sun is warm with a gentle breeze coming off the water.

Drommen: I agree. Listen, do you mind if I masturbate?

Phillipa: Not at all.

Phillipa takes off her sunglasses. Drommen gasps.

Phillipa: What?

Drommen: You have the most stunning blue eyes I’ve ever seen.

Phillipa: (smiles) Thank you. Now, you were going to show me something?

Drommen: (staring into her eyes) I don’t know if I can.

Phillipa: (laughs lightly) Why ever not?

Drommen: I … I’m lost … Lost in your gaze.

Phillipa: Well, I could shut my eyes, but that would defeat the purpose, wouldn’t it?

Drommen: (whispers) Yes.

Phillipa: Perhaps another time then? When you’ve gotten over the shock?

Drommen: (whispers) Yes.

Phillipa: (stands) This is my stop. (holds out hand) It was nice meeting you Mr. …

Drommen: Drommen. (shakes her hand) Jake Drommen.

Phillipa: It was nice meeting you, Jake Drommen.

Phillipa gets off the bus, leaving Drommen totally limp.

250. Scenes from the Second Seat on the Right

Tuesday, May 8th, 6:00pm
Red (and Phil)

Red sits at the window. Phil takes the seat beside her: he is out of breath.

Red: Are you okay?

Phil: Yeah. I almost missed the damned bus. (does a double take) … I mean, the darned bus.

Red: I wish I had. I’m really starting to hate taking the bus. I used to have a car to go to my grandma’s house. But since it broke down, I’m having to deliver the goodies (holds up basket) by bus and by foot. Yesterday I almost got eaten!

Phil: (stares) You hate the bus too … Wait, did you say eaten?

Red: Yeah. A guy came out of the bushes and tried to bite my neck. He was wearing all this glittery stuff. Kept calling me Bell-something. I might not even be here if some crazy brunette hadn’t shown up and chased him away with a pointy stick.

Phil: That doesn’t sound very safe. What do you say to getting off the bus with me? I’m just going to get my car from the shop. I can drive you to your grandma’s house.

Red: (sighs in relief and grins widely) Oh, could you?

Phil: I’d drive you there every night …

Red takes his hand. They get off the bus together.

86. Scenes from the Second Seat on the Right

Saturday, November 25th, 6:00pm
Herbert (and Georgette)

Herbert sits at the window. Georgette takes the seat beside him.

Herbert: I saw you running for the bus.

Georgette: I almost missed it.

Herbert: I’m glad you didn’t.

Georgette: Oh yes?

Herbert: You remind me of someone. Someone I loved a long time ago.

Georgette: That’s funny–I was going to say the same thing. You remind me of someone too.

Herbert: I’m Herbert. (holds out hand) What’s your name?

Georgette: (smiles and takes his hand) Georgette.

Herbert: Georgette. That’s a lovely name.

Georgette: Thank you.

Herbert: I’m getting off in a couple of stops. Can I buy you a coffee?

Georgette: Tea. I drink tea.

Herbert: I can buy tea.

Georgette: Then I’ll go with you.

Herbert: I’m so glad …
