Well this should be interesting.
First off, what the hell is going on with WordPress today? I woke up and this blog’s “best ever” day has gone up by nine views, and my fiction blog’s has gone down by four. Has this happened to anyone else or are they just screwing with me?
Second, I really am going to finish replying to all my comments soon. Tomorrow, if all goes well. But when does it ever? Can anyone answer me this question?
Third, I need another glass of wine.
Fourth, … oh yeah! Another WTF WordPress. I scheduled my 63rd Scenes from the Second Seat on the Right post for 11am this morning but it went live at 10. Did WordPress not get the memo that the time changed last night? Was it only Canada that changed? I’m confuddled.
Fifth, what do I do with all these Hallowe’en candies?
Sixth, if anyone can answer the above questions to my satisfaction and (as always) with humour, you get a point. Extra points if you send me a bottle of wine.
Go!

I used to be a professional chocolatier and did a TON of work with wineries on pairings – it was so fun! I like to be a wine enabler too 😉

Ah, now I would happily bung jereboams of the old alcoholic and vinous your way, Linda! Consider it done in the virtual sense. As for bl***y WordPress – well, I become increasingly convinced that it is possessed – probably by a demised Viking of uncertain personal habits and honking like a dead skunk -and that the only way of dealing with the constant glitches, pauses, Waiting for Godot moments and other stress-inducing boll***s is the swift application of Bell, Book and Candle! My hits drop like a cascade of panties with weak elastic; there seems to be no correlation between arrivals and views; some days, I appear only to get one visitor – who, miraculously, manages to find Talking Dirty fifty times – and my search terms are beyond belief! I am finding it harder and harder to get any movement on the blog at all. REALLY FRUSTRATING, the whole thing! Ali

Hahaha! You had me at “drop like a cascade of panties with weak elastic.”
It can be frustrating, can’t it? Enough to drive us to drink… and there we come full-circle.
Keep on keeping on, Ali. It’s sure to come together sooner or later. …right? 😉

Well, I just got around to noticing, but my “Best Ever” day not only jumped by 6 views, but the date of my “Best Ever” also changed from October 14 to September 21. In honor of the upcoming mid-term elections in the U.S. on Tuesday, I demand a recount.

My previous “Best Ever” day, October 14th, showed 407 views. Now it shows 398 views on10/14. The day that is now my “Best Ever” day, September 21, shows 413 views. I don’t remember how many there were before these numbers changed. How can one date from 3 weeks ago lose views and another date from six weeks ago suddenly gain views? Makes no sense. I think someone is stuffing the ballot box.

I think you’re right. It’s right up there with the days we have 1 visitor from 15 different countries. He’s a slippery little bugger.

Lies, damn lies and statistics, Linda G. What goes up, must come down. Time waits for no one. There’s three cliches. I’m out of relatable ones for your dilemmas …
Let’s drink wine. I could go for some Cabarnet Savignon. And your fancy?

I’m drinking a Washington Riesling these days. I make it at a local wine shop, so I get 30 bottles at a time. 😀 Next up is Barolo.
Cliches are always welcome. 🙂 Thanks, Mr. Mark!

First and Fourth: I never have a clue WTF is going on with WP… so I can’t really help there.
Second: never.
Third: I need a first glass of wine so that I can move on to another glass of wine.
Fifth: You can throw them away now, or you can stick them in the pantry or cupboard and leave them there until a year goes by and you then feel better about throwing them out since they’ve been around for a year.
I don’t have a bottle of wine to send you, but I’m more than happy to share this one with you if you want to come here. I’m too lazy to come there…

1st and 4th – good to know I’m not alone.
2nd – that would explain why I’m frustrated most days.
3rd – great idea!
5th – that’s what I usually do, at least with the ones I don’t like. But it’s soooo tempting to give them away… 😉
As for the bottle of wine, I’ll be there in 10 minutes. I don’t care if you live in Australia… I’ll be there in ten minutes anyway. 😉

I just wrote my second post for The Peppers and it is about the time change here in California. I did a mini research on Wikipedia and the time changes are really different all over. I am not sure how or if this effects Canada. The wine sounds like a good idea to me. I don’t know about losing stats, that sounds strange. Maybe something leftover from Halloween, oooow! 🙂
